Digital Content Marketing Associate

Full time, Permanent

The Position

We are looking for a confident, dynamic and highly effective Content Marketing expert with SEO experience to assist in developing and implementing Hot Pop’s inbound marketing strategy. As an integral role of a tight-knit team, you will be able to directly contribute to the growth of our organization and brand. You will also make meaningful impact in expanding our digital presence to provide a variety of clients, from fortune 500 companies to ambitious entrepreneurs, with valuable and insightful customer experiences. You will have ownership of multiple campaigns, have the flexibility to learn and expand on your capabilities with no ceiling, and collaborate with a group of incredibly passionate individuals.

About You

You are smart, driven professional who is passionate about digital marketing. You have an active web presence and a background in marketing, PR, web design or copywriting. You have an understanding of what SEO is and why it’s important for small business. You are an impeccable communicator, aggressive learner, extremely organized and self-guided. You are a team player, collaborator and most importantly, results driven.  You value relationships and have no problem engaging in conversation with strangers, either digitally or IRL. You are a critical thinker who is passionate about solving hard problems. No matter what you’re challenged with, you can find a way to deliver. Your goal is to tell authentic and compelling stories in an industry you care about.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for meeting inbound marketing targets by strategically implementing content marketing, SEO,and link building strategies.
  • Implement SEO campaigns by conducting keyword planning, research and testing.
  • Create search-optimized landing pages and compelling digital content that tells highly relevant and engaging stories through industry leading visual and written mediums.  
  • Conduct backlink research and execute back linking campaigns 
  • Identify and own relationships with social influencers, journalists, and partners, including conducting outreach as well as running & analyzing campaigns. 
  • Applying continuous learning and critical thinking in order to positively impact the marketing goal via on a variety of SEO tactics (mainly organic). 
  • Track and identify social trends and media opportunities relevant to the brand. 
  • Research, maintain and report on critical marketing data for management. 
  • Uphold brand values and messaging to ensure all marketing and sales content conveys them consistently, creatively and at an industry-leading level.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of content marketing experience including track record of successful campaigns
  • Marketing degree or equivalent experience
  • Outstanding storyteller and confident networker
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to author highly compelling original content 
  • Photography and graphic design skills
  • Proactive and resourceful with an excellent ability to self-manage
  • Highly organised, plans ahead
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, CRM software, CMS platforms and other marketing content management tools.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Adwords, and Search Console a plus
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator a plus

Freelance IT Consultant (On-Premises Toronto)

Contract, Short-term

The Position

We are seeking a freelance IT consultant for a short term engagement to setup IT infrastructure for an office of 10 and a potential follow up engagement to provide ongoing support on a monthly basis. Specifically we are seeking an IT professional who is capable of designing and implementing an internal network, file server and backup solution in a Windows environment.

About You

You are an experienced IT professional with 5+ years of experience dealing with small/medium businesses. You support multiple clients on a freelance basis or work in IT in a full time capacity and moonlight for freelance clients of your own. You are able to assess needs and identify problems for your clients and capable of communicating those problems to decision makers. You are capable of designing, communicating and implementing solutions to these problems.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and support Windows workstations for an office of 10
  • Design and deploy wired and wireless network solutions
  • Design, procure and deploy an on-premises file server
  • Design, procure and deploy an on-going back-up solution
  • Provide ongoing IT support for the above infrastructure

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional IT experience supporting small/medium businesses
  • Experience designing, working and deploying in Windows environment
  • Familiarity with G-Suite applications
  • Ability to travel to client office in downtown Toronto
  • Industry certifications such as A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, etc. a plus
