Gems On Display with our custom Showcase Sculpture

As our little passion project has started to grow into a fledgling business of its own, we’ve had to begin experimenting with clever ways of displaying our 3D printed product in the physical world. Our last development was a novel set of packages for each of our pieces. We decided to build on that with a showcase sculpture.

Building on the pentagonal-pyramids we used for the packaging, we decided to create a tessellating geometry of deconstructed dodecahedron that could form a landscape for our pieces to inhabit. Below are some work in progress shots of its fabrication as well as the final prototype.
